This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Mathra AI mobile application (the "App") available on iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store).

• Profile information: Age range, education level, and learning preferences (optional)
• User-generated content: Math problems you submit, photos of equations you upload

• Usage data: Features used, problems solved, session duration, learning progress
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers
• Log data: IP address, access times, app crashes, and performance data
• Camera/Photos: Only when you explicitly use the equation scanner feature (with your permission)

2.3 Information from Third Parties

• Authentication data if you sign in with Apple ID or Google
• Purchase verification from Apple App Store or Google Play (we do not receive full payment details)

• Provide, operate, and improve the App and its AI features
• Personalise your learning experience and track your progress
• Process in-app purchases and manage subscriptions
• Send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages
• Respond to your comments and questions
• Monitor and analyse usage patterns to improve our AI models

4. AI Features and Data Processing

Mathra AI uses artificial intelligence to solve mathematical problems and provide step-by-step explanations. When you submit a math problem:

• Your input is processed by our AI systems to generate a solution
• Anonymised problem data may be used to improve our AI models
• We do not link AI-processed problems to your identity for model training without your consent
• Photos of equations are processed and deleted from our servers within 24 hours after conversion to text

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your information with:

• Service providers: Cloud hosting, analytics, and customer support tools that assist our operations
• AI processing partners: Providers of the underlying AI infrastructure (under strict data processing agreements)
• Apple / Google: In-app purchase validation as required by the respective platforms
• Legal authorities: Where required by applicable law or valid legal process
• Business transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (users will be notified)

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the App settings or by contacting privacy@mathra.ai. We will delete or anonymise your data within 30 days of a verified deletion request, except where retention is required by law.

7. Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

Mathra AI is suitable for users of all ages, including children. For users under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK):

• We collect only the minimum data necessary to provide the Service
• We do not display behavioural advertising to children
• Parental consent is required for account creation by children under 13
• Parents may review, update, or request deletion of their child's data by contacting privacy@mathra.ai

9. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites or integrate third-party services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
